There’s many reasons why we would perform oral surgery. Most of what I do is through dental extractions. We only take out the teeth that absolutely need to come out.
That’s whether it’s fractured or severely decayed, meaning they have a really large cavity, or if the nerve that’s inside the tooth is infected. After the tooth is out, patients generally have multiple options as to how we either replace or restore their smile. That can be accomplished through partial dentures, implants, or bridges.

Breeze Through Your Surgery With Our Skilled Team
Our gentle approach to oral surgery ensures you’re comfortable and informed throughout your procedure. Your general dentist performs tooth extractions, from simple removals to more complex cases. While we handle many wisdom teeth extractions in our office, we may recommend a specialist for more complicated cases to ensure you receive the best possible care.
Before any procedure, we’ll:
- Take detailed X-rays to plan your surgery.
- Review your medical history.
- Explain the entire procedure step by step.
- Provide detailed aftercare instructions.
- Answer all your questions and concerns.
Understand Your Tooth Replacement Options
After your extraction, we offer several ways to restore your smile:
- Traditional Bridges – These custom-made appliances attach to neighboring teeth to fill the gap in your smile. A bridge looks natural and gives you reliable function.
- Complete or Partial Dentures – These removable appliances replace multiple missing teeth. They restore your ability to eat and speak confidently while maintaining your facial structure.
- Implant-Supported Crowns – A titanium implant in your jawbone will support a custom crown. This replacement tooth looks, feels, and functions just like your natural teeth.
- Implant-Supported Bridges – Multiple replacement teeth are anchored securely by dental implants. This provides exceptional stability and, unlike a traditional bridge or dentures, prevents bone loss in your jaw.

It is a rare opportunity to walk into a business where everyone is always consistently kind and compassionate. I feel like staff listen and hear me when I ask or say something, it is addressed it directly and openly. I have never dreaded walking into an appointment, in fact I look forward to going because I always come out feeling uplifted and well cared for. Here is one business where old fashion manners, respect and caring for others are still in full swing! Many thanks to everyone, behind the scenes as well as the front line!

Some of the most common reasons you may need oral surgery are removing a tooth that is too damaged to save, extracting wisdom teeth that are painful or causing dental problems, or removing teeth for dentures or other restorations.
For the first 24 hours after your oral surgery, you should not exercise at all. Doing too much too fast can actually create problems and prolong healing. Overexertion can loosen the blood clot from an extraction site and cause a painful condition known as dry socket. After the first 24 hours, limit your exercise to low-impact activities for several more days.
Your pain level will vary depending on the extent of your surgical procedure, your age, and your overall health. For some procedures, you may feel little or no pain as you recover. For more extensive procedures, you may have some soreness. In any case, we’ll provide guidance to help you minimize pain and soreness.
